DELUXE MAC & CHEESE NACHOS

INGREDIENTS

2 BOXES KRAFT MAC & CHEESE
2 TBSP BUTTER (FOR MAC & CHEESE)
1/2 CUP HEAVY CREAM (FOR MAC & CHEESE)
1 TOMATO, DICED
1 GREEN PEPPER, DICED
1 ONION, DICED
5 CLOVES OF GARLIC, MINCED
1-2 SLIM JIM’S, DICED
2lb GROUND BEEF
1 TBSP CUMIN
1 TBSP CHILI POWDER
HANDFUL OF FRESH BASIL, CHOPPED
TORTILLA CHIPS

DIRECTIONS

  1. COOK MAC & CHEESE IN A LARGE POT ACCORDING TO PACKAGE INSTRUCTIONS USING THE BUTTER AND HEAVY CREAM. WHEN DONE, ADD TOMATO, GREEN PEPPER AND MIX WELL.
  2. WHILE MAC & CHEESE IS COOKING, HEAT A LARGE PAN ON MEDIUM HEAT. ADD GROUND BEEF AND COOK FOR 7-8 MINUTES. ADD DICED SLIM JIM, ONION, GARLIC, CUMIN AND CHILI POWDER AND COOK FOR ANOTHER 5-10 MINUTES.
  3. PUT A LAYER OF TORTILLA CHIPS ON A PLATE OR LARGE BOWL. ADD A LAYER OF GROUND BEEF MIXTURE. THEN ADD LAYER OF MAC & CHEESE MIXTURE. TOP WITH BASIL AND SOUR CREAM.
