BCU?

BCU?

As you can see from the date of the post before this one, its been a few months. Since the beginning, I wanted this site to be more than just a foodie site as there are a bazillion out there.

I spent the last few months picking my incredibly awesome brain (Arrogance, FTW!), trying to come up with something that will make this site different, and it wasn’t until last week that it hit me.

Making this a simple foodie site is one dimensional. I am, at the very least, TWO dimensional! The thing I love most about cooking? CREATIVITY!

Before I started taking my cooking more seriously, I was animating on my own time. Teaching myself. Creating characters. Creating short cartoons. In 2014, my animating was inadvertently put on the back burner as I pursued becoming a self-taught culinary superstar (#Arrogance). Then by chance last week, I opened my linen closet and noticed an old, somewhat worn notebook with a red cover. It was my book of animation ideas I started in 2013 that I call my BRILLIANCE BOOK.

I opened the book and found all of my old story ideas, scripts and character designs, like “Man with never-ending nosebleed” and and idea for a short called, “Hangman Auction” where stick figures from the classic Hangman paper & pencil game would bid on letters of the alphabet to extend their lives. And that is when it hit me. “Cereal and Grape Juice” isn’t so much about food as it is about creativity. Why not include my animations on this site as well as other creative ventures I like doing and make Cereal and Grape Juice the official home of the BOOPSY CREATIONS UNIVERSE (*echo, echo, echo, echo!)! Since then I have brought a few of the character ideas from my Brilliance Book to life via my animation & digital art software program, MOHO PRO 12.

So that is the plan. My cooking adventures and the BCU (Marvel stole that from me!) will be what Cereal and Grape Juice is about. Creativity.

Stay tuned!
